Location: Évora or Lisbon (Portugal)

We are looking for a Dev-Ops Engineer to join our team in Évora or Lisbon (remote is possible) and working on cool Insuretech, Fintech, Blockchain and A.I. projects. We are a dynamic AI startup with clients in Switzerland, Germany, and the USA. We work with top-notch tech, use containers, cloud, and other cool stuff.

Must-Have Skills

  • Unix/Linux Administration
  • Dev-Ops skills
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform or equivalent tools
  • Experience with Docker, containerization and container runtimes
  • Familiar with CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, or other) and previous experience implementing build, deployment and other pipelines
  • Ability to design security architectures
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is a big plus)
  • Familiar with tools like GIT, Jenkins, Gulp, WebPack, SauceLabs, SonarQube for quality control, deployments, and continuous integration
  • Monitor site stability and performance and troubleshoot site issues
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and co-workers on development, operations and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with new tools and technologies and facilitate their adoption

Nice-To-Have Skills

  • Kubernetes
  • AWS, Azure, or other cloud experience
  • A working understanding of code and script (Ruby, Python, Perl)
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Experience building efficient and scalable system infrastructure
  • Knowledge of any backend technology: Java, NodeJs, C#, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of any frontend technology: Angular, React, JQuery, etc.
  • Knowledge of any database technology: MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
  • Participate in discussions & brainstorming sessions on architecture, design, and logic/algorithms
  • Be a self-starter who requires little day to day supervision/directions

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work successfully with a globally distributed team
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic, and willing to take ownership
  • Exceptional written, and verbal communication skills
  • Inquisitive, analytical, and creative problem solver
