During spacecraft anomalies, operators had to cross-reference live and historical telemetry, dense Flight Operation Procedures, and anomaly databases by hand. ESA already ran OCAI 2.0, which supported decision making with semantic search across 15 institutional sources — but the sheer volume still forced lengthy manual analysis, inflating Mean Time to Resolution. The goal was to add AI capabilities on top of what already worked.
We built OCAI Next Generation (NG): a multi-agent assistant layered onto the mission-operations workspace. It synthesizes information from telemetry, Flight Operation Procedures, anomaly databases, logs, JIRA and ARES into grounded answers — every response cites the ESA documentation and telemetry it is based on, so operators can verify each conclusion.

Telemetry-to-procedure correlation dropped from hours to minutes
Reduced hallucination risk — every response cites ESA documentation and telemetry
In use across 20 missions at the European Space Operations Centre
Adoption and time-to-answer tracked mission by mission
